Connection
Gather for an Arrival and Registration period at 12:00 at Quiet Waters Park, 600 Quiet Waters Park Road, Annapolis. A pavilion is reserved for our group. Enjoy meeting others concerned with HSP or PLS and expanding your network!

TeamWalk For Our Cures walkathon
The TeamWalk walkathon will begin at 1:00. People can walk, stroll or roll as much or as little as they want along an organized TeamWalk route. The park offers six miles of paved trails winding through hardwood forests and grassy fields, with the vistas of the South River Promenade and Scenic Overlook. Our TeamWalk is a walkathon to raise funds for research. It is a pre-paid event. You collect sponsorships for your participation, not distance walked. Visit our Tips page for fundraising tips and a Sample Letter. Use this Sponsorship Form to keep track of your sponsors and mail it in with your donations one week ahead of the TeamWalk (bring late sponsorships with you).

Celebration Picnic
After the TeamWalk, a Celebration Picnic will be held and include refreshments and a special program.

The Registration Fee for the TeamWalk Connection is $10 per person. This reserves your TeamWalk T-shirt. Register early, as sizes cannot be guaranteed.

Why Your Support Matters

There is currently no treatment to prevent, stop or reverse the degenerative process in PLS or HSP. These diseases attack one�s ability to walk, often leaving their victims in wheelchairs. They can also rob people of the ability to use their hands and arms, and ,even to speak or cause other neurological problems as well. The Spastic Paraplegia Foundation is the only organization in the Americas that is dedicated to raising funds specifically for HSP and PLS research. The organization is 100% volunteer-managed and the TeamWalk For Our Cures is the national, community event to raise funds for research.
