Each year SPF needs to raise over $300,000 dollars to fund research and to pay
for its operations. This is raised by you and the people who care about you,
your family, your friends and your coworkers.
We can reach our goal if each of us raises between $200 to $300 each year.
You can reach that goal using the following strategy

Follow these helpful hints,
- Only ask friends and coworkers whom you know well.
- Ask each donor in person or by telephone. Vocal or visual contact is more personable than email.
- Prepare what you are going to say in advance. Let them know that the funds raised are used medical research.
- Let them know that you are doing a once a year fund raiser.
- Have them write a check for the donation and make it out to the Spastic Paraplegia Foundation.
- Always send a hand written thank you note telling them how much the donation means to you.
